No 3-in-1 today

The police will not implement the three-in-one traffic rule, whereby a car must carry at least three passengers, today.

The rule is usually implemented from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on several main thoroughfares on weekdays.

“The 3-in-1 traffic control system will not be applied today, Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, in conjunction with the 2010 Christmas holiday,” the Jakarta Police Traffic Management Center (TMC) said as reported by beritajakarta.com.

The three-in-one zones include Jl. Sisingamangaraja, Jl. Sudirman, Jl. MH Thamrin, Jl. Merdeka Barat, Jl. Majapahit, Jl. Gajah Mada, Jl. Pintu Besar Selatan, Jl. Pintu Besar Utara and Jl. Hayam Wuruk. The rule also applies to a portion of Jl. Gatot Subroto up to Jl. Gerbang Pemuda and the Jl. HR Rasuna Said intersection.
