Lawyer
Sugeng Teguh Santoso protested against the questioning of his client, graft
suspect Ary Muladi, by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Monday at
9 a.m.
According
to Sugeng, his client was taken by KPK investigators without legal
representation.
“Ary
Muladi was picked up as a suspect at Salemba penitentiary by investigators, for
questioning without being accompanied by an advocate because the KPK did not
contact his advocate,” he said, adding that his client had chosen to remain
silent.
Ary
Muladi is the suspected middleman who graft convict Anggodo Widjojo reportedly
instructed to bribe two KPK deputies, Bibit Samad Rianto and Chandra M. Hamzah. (ipa/gzl)
