Magnitude 4.8 quake jolts Jayapura

An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale shook Jayapura on Tuesday, at 11.36 a.m. local time, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported on Tuesday.
The epicenter of the quake was 98 kilometers southwest of Jayapura, at a depth of 10 kilometers below sea level.
There were no immediate reports of damages or casualties from the quake.
