JAKARTA: “I strongly believe in the principle that communications must relate with the soul and heart and I have consistently implemented that principle ever since I entered the mass communications industry 20 years ago,” says Troy Pantouw who recently won the prestigious Public Relations Society Award 2010.The PR Society honored Pantouw, the corporate communications director of PT Tirta Investama Danone Aqua, for his outstanding achievements in designing and implementing effective communications programs for all Danone Aqua’s stakeholders.
The panel of judges, appointed by the PR Society and headed by Akhmad Kusaeni, deputy chief editor of the Antara news agency, selected Pantouw for the award also for the effective communications strategy he executed for Danone Aqua’s corporate social responsibility programs.
Previous winners of the annual PR Society Award include Marty Natalegawa, now foreign minister, and senior economist Emil Salim, who held several Cabinet portfolios in the 1970s and 1980s. — JP
