Nugie looking for mad men to finance TV show

JP/P.J. LeoJAKARTA: Singer Nugie believes Indonesia needs crazy — rich — people to promote the beauty of the country.

The artist has planned to set up a TV program highlighting Indonesia’s natural beauty to promote local tourism, but it won’t come cheap.

“I know it will be expensive. No TV stations will be interested in making such a program. That’s why I need crazy rich people who want to pour their money in this project,” Nugie said as quoted by inilah.com on Wednesday.

His plan is to visit remote areas in the country to showcase unexplored beautiful places in the country to viewers of his program.

“The traveling will be very expensive because there is no support from the government and transportation will be costly,” the 39-year-old artist said.

“We may need more than 100 years to explore all the islands,” he added. — JP
