Tourism Ministry set to launch ‘Wonderful Indonesia’ campaign

Culture and Tourism Minister Jero Wacik said Thursday the
government would soon launch its latest tourism campaign slogan,
"Wonderful Indonesia”.
The slogan will be used for the next two years, and has
received positive responses so far, Jero said Thursday.
"We'll begin using ‘Wonderful Indonesia’ in January
2011. We’ve had [positive] feedback from friends abroad, who said ‘Wonderful
Indonesia’ is good because Indonesia does have wonderful, beautiful nature,
wonderful cultures, wonderful people and wonderful food ... so we deserve to be
called wonderful," Jero told reporters in Jakarta.
Indonesia will officially launch “Wonderful Indonesia” at the
upcoming ASEAN Tourism Ministers forum in Cambodia on Jan. 17-18, he said.
“[During the forum], we’ll announce to the world that
Indonesia will soon be recognized as ‘Wonderful Indonesia’.”
