ENPASAR: Bali Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (SMEs) head Dewa Patra says that SMEs experienced a robust and healthy growth on the resort island.
“Presently there are 208,901 SMEs on the island. A large majority of them are in excellent condition and operating actively,” he said.
The SMEs are operating in various sectors, including 92,007 SMEs in the agricultural sector and 62,763 SMEs in the trading sector.
“We are very proud that these SMEs have performed very well and that some of them have managed to penetrate to markets outside Bali, including markets in foreign countries,” he said, adding that the provincial administration provided SMEs with non-collateral soft loans to spur their growth. — JP
