What do we have in common with football managers at this time of year? Well, we are all hitting the January sales looking for bargains.
When the New Year comes around, all football clubs are faced with one crucial question: To buy or not to buy? Getting in two or three different players can give teams the extra ingredients needed to push for a title or to escape relegation, but new signings can also disrupt team chemistry and cause unwanted headaches for managers at the business end of the season.
Your comments:
Wagner Love, or as it’s actually spelled, Vagner Love, has a £20 million price tag on him. Almost no European club can afford that right now, and those that can already have top-notch strikers.
He’s not going anywhere until at least the 2012 January transfer window, and more likely, summer 2012.
I don’t know if he actually talked to Miles Jacobson, but he didn’t really have to, the Everton thing has been mentioned by him on far too many occasions to count, and there are a few other clubs that use the database as well.
