KPK searches Environment Ministry’s office

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the
Environment Ministry’s office in East Jakarta on Thursday in connection with
the 2010 Adipura Cleanliness Award corruption case.
KPK spokesman Johan Budi S.P. confirmed a number of
officials had been dispatched to the office to search for more evidence to
support investigation into the case.
The antigraft body has so far detained Bekasi Mayor
Mochtar Muhammad in the case. He has been implicated in three corruption cases
in the alleged misuse of the Bekasi budget, which includes a bribery case to
win the Adipura award and embezzlement regarding a fictitious project.
