The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the Environment Ministry’s office in East Jakarta on Thursday in connection with the 2010 Adipura Cleanliness Award corruption case.

KPK spokesman Johan Budi S.P. confirmed a number of officials had been dispatched to the office to search for more evidence to support investigation into the case.

The antigraft body has so far detained Bekasi Mayor Mochtar Muhammad in the case. He has been implicated in three corruption cases in the alleged misuse of the Bekasi budget, which includes a bribery case to win the Adipura award and embezzlement regarding a fictitious project.
