JAKARTA: Best-selling author Ahmad Fuadi launched his second novel titled Ranah Tiga Warna (R3W) or The Land of Three Colors in Jakarta on Thursday.
Ranah Tiga Warna is the second part of a trilogy which started with his previous national best-selling novel, Negeri Lima Menara (N5M) or The Nation of Five Towers.
His N5M novel, which has sold over 125,000 copies, tells the inspirational story of a modern Islamic boarding school student whose faith remains unshaken despite seemingly endless challenges that make it almost impossible for him to fulfill his dreams.
In the R3W sequel, which will be officially released in book stores on Jan. 23, Fuadi introduces another moral message, “man shabara zhafira”, which means luck comes to those who are patient. — JP
