Focusing on his career as an MC, television presenter Ferdy Hasan keeps on learning how to survive in the competitive entertainment industry. He is also known as a loving husband and father, and has managed to keep away from the gossip that often targets celebrity marriages.
He often spends time traveling with his wife Safina and kids Farah Labita and Fasha Jamel Antwan.
I divide my time into four priorities. I should have some time for myself, my wife, my family and my work. Those four priorities have to be balanced.
For me, the free time does not have to be on weekends. It can be any day when I am free from my schedule because sometimes I have to work on weekends.
I can spend my private time doing anything, for example going to the gym or to the mechanic workshop or just hanging out with my friends.
I usually spend the rest of my free time with my beloved family. Usually we go out together to eat our favorite food. However, nowadays I choose to bring my children when we go out and enjoy spending time playing with them.
My youngest kid, for example, likes to play in the children’s playground Lollipop’s while the older one usually asks us to hang out in malls, shop or do outdoor activities as she has become a teenager.
I also like cooking for my family. I am happy when my children and wife ask me to cook for them because I often cooked for myself when I was studying at college. There is no special preparation, but usually we will shop for the ingredients together.
I consider this high-quality family time because everyone gets involved and we chat a lot while we enjoy the meal I have made.
Sometimes, my wife and I treat ourselves by going to a spa or calling for a home service spa. It’s one of a few ways in which we indulge ourselves.
In my opinion, spending quality time with one’s spouse without the children around is a must. My wife and I always try to go out alone together every week. We can have something to eat together or go to the movie theater. We just need to adjust the time.
If there is an opportunity and the right time, we can do a weekend getaway.
Our family also likes traveling so much. When we have a lot of time, we always look for an opportunity to travel somewhere with our children to enjoy a different atmosphere.
There are many locations that have become our favorite destinations. Every place has a different specialty, and so has a special place in our memory.
We have favorite places in America, Europe as well as local places, such as Bali. However, the best place for vacation that we ever visited was probably Nice, France. We just spent our time in that beautiful city. We liked everything there. We loved the weather, the ambiance, the crowd and the people in that city. We also liked the food and the drinks!
My wife and I like cities. If we had to choose between an urban life and a village life, we would choose a city life.
Early this year, our family went on holiday in the United States. We don’t have any travel plans for 2011, but we always try our best to go on a vacation with our children during their school holiday.
