The police will
issue a red notice for John Jerome Grice, an American who is
suspected of being the intellectual actor behind the making of a
fraudulent passport for graft suspect Gayus Tambunan.
Spokesman Sr.
Comr. Boy Rafli Amar said that according to immigration data, John
left Indonesia in July last year using a genuine passport.
“He is thought
to be in one of the countries in Asia. We will send a red notice to
Interpol,” he said on Monday as quoted by Kompas.com.
The Police
tracked down Grice from witnesses’ and suspects’ testimonies.
Grice is suspected of being a part of a professional syndicate of
fraudulent passport manufacturers.
Gayus used a passport bearing the name
of Sony Laksono for overseas trips last year when he was supposed to
be in a detention center while his trial proceeded.
