Communications and Information Technology Minister Tifatul Sembiring said Monday that he is not the person behind the twitter account @tifsembiring.
The account is known for its controversial “tweets”, often garnering hostile responses from other users of the micro-blogging website.
The confession came during a meeting in Jakarta with House of Representatives Commission I, kompas.com reported.
Democratic Party legislator Roy Suryo asked Tifatul whether he was making the tweets.
“I am curious, do you write your [tweets] yourself?
“I feel that those tweets are uncharacteristic of you,” he asked
the minister.
To this, Tifatul replied that his staff managed the account for him.

Let’s dig up some of the statements he made not too long ago when he
was so proud that he was tweeting all the time, when he boasted of
followers and when he said tweeting was part of his communication style.
Now he has changed his tune by saying he has no time to do so. Which statement is correct?

“No, I have no time to post [tweets], I have too much work.”
What’s that then?
It surely has nothing to do with Communications and Information Technology Ministry.
