Fuad Rahmany appointed new tax chief

Fuad Rahmany has been appointed as the new chief of the Taxation and Excise Directorate General, replacing incumbent chief Tjiptardjo.

Fuad previously served as the chairman of the Capital Market and Financial Institutions Supervisory Agency (Bapepam-LK).

"The new presidential decree replaces with honor tax office director general Tjiptardjo with Capital Market and Financial Institutions Supervisory Agency chairman Fuad Rahmany," Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo said at an inauguration ceremony at his office in Jakarta on Friday.

Tjiptardjo had been appointed in July 2009, when former tax chief Darmin Nasution moved to Bank Indonesia (BI).

During the inauguration ceremony, Agus inaugurated 11 Echelon I officials at the Finance Ministry, as well as several other Echelon II officials. (est)
