The Investment Coordinating
Board (BKPM) is aiming for Rp 240 trillion (US$26.48 billion) in investment
this year, a 15 percent increase from last year.
BKPM chair Gita Wirjawan
said Sunday that BKPM expected 65 percent of the targeted investment to come
from foreign direct investment, while domestic investment would make up the
remaining 35 percent.
“We will try to raise the
proportion of domestic investment this year,” Gita said at a press conference
in Jakarta.
In 2010, domestic investment
was Rp 60.5 trillion, or 29 percent of the total investment of Rp 208 trillion.
