Drug production caused Pamulang explosion: Police

South Jakarta Police on Monday said shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine) had been at the root of an explosion that occurred at a house in the Vila Dago housing estate in Pamulang, Tangerang, on Sunday night.

The explosion had occurred because volatile chemicals were used in the production of the drug, South Jakarta Police chief Sr.Com Edi Pramono said as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

Edi said he had assigned a team to investigate the allegations, following an explosion that wounded Zulkipli, who lived in the two-story house.

The victim was taken to Fatmawati hospital for treatment.
