The National Police did not complete a scheduled
questioning of graft defendant Adj. Comr. Sri Sumartini, who is implicated in a
bribery case linked to tax fraud convict Gayus Tambunan, over his alleged
violation of the police code of ethics, on Thursday.
“The process has yet to be complete. It will resume
tomorrow,” National Police deputy spokesman Sr. Comr. Boy Rafli Amar told
reporters.
In October, the South Jakarta District Court sentenced Sri
Sumartini to two years in prison for accepting bribes totaling US$50,000, along
with fellow detective Comr. Arafat Enanie.
Boy said the police planned to question at least four more
officers connected to Gayus in February.
“There is a possibility we will summon Gayus as a witness
in this ethics inquiry,” he said.
