The House of
Representatives Commission VIII overseeing religious affairs will hold a
hearing with National Police Chief Gen. Timur Pradopo and Religious Affairs
Minister Suryadharma Ali on Thursday on the deadly Ahmadiyah attack in
Cikeusik, Banten.
"We will be
interrogating them about the performance of the police and the Religious
Affairs Minister in this case," said Commission VIII chairman Abdul Kadir
Karding at the House building on Tuesday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com
The Commission will ask
Timor about the way police handled the attack on the Ahmadis.
"We want to get to the
very bottom of this case," said Kadir.
Kadir said he will also request
Suryadharma Ali to act wiser as a minister.
"The Minister cannot
simply disband Ahmadiyah (as a sect)," Kadir added.
