Indonesia’s economy grew 6.1 percent last year, higher than the government’s official forecast of 5.8 percent in the nation’s 2010 state budget, Central Statistics Agency (BPS) data shows.
BPS chair Rusman Heriawan said Monday that Indonesia’s economic growth was mainly driven by domestic consumption, which accounted
for 56.7 percent of the country’s economy, as well as investment, which was 32.2 percent.

It’s good to hear this. Economic growth represents economic performance.
However, it is followed by disparities in household income and the data always has ‘hidden values’.
