Though many police officers on the scene when three Ahmadis were killed in Banten on Sunday, officers quickly left when the mayhem began, an Ahmadi lawyer says.
“There were two trucks [of police officers] and one minivan,” Choirul Anam said on Friday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com news portal.
According to Choirul, the information was obtained through a recording made by an Ahmadi who was an eyewitness to the massacre.
The attack left three Ahmadis dead and five injured.
Most of the police officers on the scene left when the situation began to deteriorate, Choirul said.
The police denied the allegations. “There was no such thing,” National Police spokesperson Sr.Comr. Boy Rafli Amar said.
“In fact, more officers were deployed,” Boy added.
