Body of woman found in plastic bag in Bogor

A bound and badly damaged body of a woman was found inside a large plastic bag in Cisarua, Bogor, West Java, early Saturday morning.

The cause of death is unknown.

Local people found the body about 20 meters from Gunung Mas tea farm, and reported the finding to the police.

The body has been sent to Paru Cibereum Hospital in Cisarua to undergo an autopsy.

The dead woman, who was still clothed, is thought to be 23 to 25 years old, according to a police report. The report described her as about 150 centimeters tall, skinny, and with straight black shoulder-length hair.

There was a cut on her forehead and her skull was cracked, and her neck broken, it said. Her wrists and ankles were tied with rope, and there were injuries on her legs and arms, it said.
