The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) says it allowed a suspect in the Bank Indonesia vote-buying scandal to leave detention to go to his daughter's wedding in Bali.

Former Golkar legislator Boby Suhardiman was escorted to Bali by KPK officials, commission spokesman Johan Budi said on Monday as quoted by kompas.com.

Johan said that KPK allowed Boby to leave his cell for one day for his daughter's wedding and the graft suspect was scheduled to return to Jakarta on Monday.

Boby was one of almost two dozen legislators detained since Feb. 2 for allegedly accepting bribes to appoint Miranda S Goeltom as a Bank Indonesia deputy governor.
