Mutilated body parts found in Tangerang pond

Body parts, including a severed, mutilated head, were found in a pond in Tanjung Pasir, Tangerang on Sunday.

The remains were in a black plastic bag discovered by two local residents, Sangsang and Dahuwi, who reported their gruesome find to the Teluk Naga Police.

Police designated the pond as a crime scene for further investigation.

The plastic bag was taken to Tangerang General Hospital for an autopsy and identification. When the bag was emptied, hospital authorities also found parts of the victim's hand and feet.

The mutilated head was initially identified as a woman, but no further information has been released.
