Central Sulawesi jolted by 6.1 magnitude quake

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency reported that an earthquake registering a 6.1 on the Richter scale shook Central Sulawesi on Tuesday at 8:33 p.m..

The earthquake’s epicenter was located 21 kilometers deep, 143 kilometers southeast of Poso.

“The quake has no potential to create tsunami,” the agency said.

No fatalities or injuries were reported in the quake.
