The 17-nation euro is down slightly against the dollar following slower-than-expected fourth-quarter GDP growth in Germany, Europe's biggest economy.
The euro bought $1.3466 in morning European trading Tuesday, down slightly from $1.3470 the night before in New York.
The British pound is down to $1.6018 from $1.6030 the night before, while the dollar is up to 83.62 Japanese yen from 83.32 yen.
Germany has reported 0.4 percent growth in the fourth quarter of 2010, somewhat lower than economists had predicted.
Meantime, investors remain concerned about the eurozone's debt crisis, and whether Portugal will become the third nation to require aid from its neighbors and the IMF.
