Two of 19 Manokwari escapees captured

Authorities on Tuesday captured two of the 19 inmates who escaped from the Manokwari Detention Center in West Papua over the weekend.
A spokesman for the Indonesian Directorate General for Penitentiaries, Akbar, said officers of the Manokwari Detention Center managed to catch two escapees. Another inmate was brought in by his family, Tribunnews.com reported.
Officers have been on a manhunt since Monday to catch the 16 convicts and three detainees who ran away after religious services around noon on Sunday. Several inmates crowded the prison entrance and rushed one of the officers on guard, who was left wounded.
