Iron Maiden ready to rock in Jakarta

The heavy metal band Iron Maiden arrived in Jakarta on Wednesday and say they are ready to rock the city.

The band’s first concert tour in Indonesia is scheduled to kick off on Thursday night.

Iron Maiden will play a leg of their “The Final Frontier World Tour 2011” at Pantai Karnaval, Ancol, West Jakarta.

“This concert in Indonesia is special because it is the first time we have visited the country after 13 years of touring,” the band’s vocalist Bruce Dickinson said at a press conference, as reported by kompas.com.

He said the band would give their best performance even though rainy weather has been a concern.

In addition to Dickinson, the band consists of Steve Harris (bass), Dave Murray (guitar), Janick Gers (guitar), Adrian Smith (guitar) and Nicko McBrain (drums).
