Six suspects now detained in Ahmadiyah violence

As of Wednesday, the Banten Police has detained six suspects in the bloody attack against an Ahmadiyah congregation in Cikeusik, Banten.

Local residents in Cikeusik launched a lethal attack against Ahmadis earlier this month. Three Ahmadis were beaten to death during the attack

“The number of suspects who have been named and detained have increased to six people because two turned themselves in yesterday,” Banten Police spokesperson First Sr.Adj.Comr. Gunawan said.

The two latest suspects are from Cikeusik and Cibaliung.

“There is the possibility that we will name more suspects as our team is still questioning witnesses,” Gunawan said.
