The Mamuju branch of state electricity firm PT PLN is worried that a blackout may occur during a visit from Vice President Boediono to the West Sulawesi capital this weekend.
“There are currently many disruptions to the electricity supply for South, West and Southeast Sulawesi,” PLN Mamuju branch chief I Nyoman Sueca said Wednesday.
“We cannot guarantee we can ensure maximum electricity supplies when the Vice President and his entourage are in Mamuju for the working visit. We'll do our best to prevent blackouts during his stay,” Nyoman said as quoted by Antara.
Nyoman added the electricity supply for West and South Sulawesi were often disrupted because of damage to the generator at Bakaru power plant in the South Sulawesi regency of Pinrang.
