Minister: No military files stolen in S. Korea

Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Security Djoko Suyanto said Monday that none of Indonesian military files was stolen in Seoul , South Korea .
"What was missing or stolen was (from) the laptop of a staff member of the Minister of Industry," he told antaranews.com in Jakarta .
He said that the laptop stored data about, among others, the cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea regarding the six corridors of economics for the acceleration of development in Indonesia .
Minister of Defense, Purnomo Yusgiantoro, a member of the Indonesian delegation to South Korea , did not bring any military files with him, Djoko said.
Local media in South Korea had earlier reported that the theft occurred in Lotte Hotel, in Sogong-dong, not far from the Seoul City Hall, where 50 members of Indonesian delegation stayed.
Two men and a woman broke into a VIP room of a delegation member at the 19th floor, on Feb.16 afternoon.
Police said they receive reports from the victim that the culprits had copied data from the victim’s laptop into a USB memory sticks.
Police believed that the culprits targeted specific information such as the secret military data of the Indonesian-South Korea cooperation.
The entourage returned to the country on Wednesday.
