AKARTA: Meidyana Maimunah, also known as Memes, has released her newest album, Acoustic Love, to celebrate her 17-year career in the local music industry.
The 45-year-old singer said she would dedicate the album to her fans that have been so loyal throughout her career.
“[The album] will serve as a remedy for their longing. They miss me, and I miss them, too,” Memes said as quoted by inilah.com on Monday.
Memes also said that she enjoyed making her new album because she received so much support from her family.
“We have different tastes in music, but when they know that I am making a new album, they give support,” said the wife of music composer Addie MS and the mother of rising star Kevin, the frontman of pop band Vierra.
Memes said that she needed two years to complete the album.
Memes started her career as a singer in Indonesia in 1994. Acoustic Love is her ninth album. — JP
