The National Commission on Human Rights on Wednesday announced the initial findings of an investigation into the recent fatal attack on members of an Islamic minority sect in Cikeusik, Banten, saying the attackers were an organized group.

Commission deputy chairman Nur Cholis said the attackers were not residents of Cikeusik, but an organized group from outside the area.

Nur said the rights commission had also found indications of rights abuse in the Cikeusik incident.

“Rights to live, to perform activities according to one's faith, to security and to property ownership [were abused],” he said, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
