The House of Representatives says they will complete their draft of the immigration law by March 2011.

“We will synchronize the study that we have done with the government’s suggestions,” committee chairman for the immigration law draft Fahri Hamzah said, as reported by tempointeraktif.com.

He added that the committee was creating several points to be the benchmarks in the draft.

The House is designing the draft law to make the regulations regarding international travel stricter.

The House is trying to prevent incidents like graft convict Gayus H. Tambunan’s departure from detention to go on overseas trips.
