New Nat'l Police deputy chief elected

The head of the National Police Internal Affairs division has been chosen as the new deputy National Police chief, a spokesman for the National Police says.

The former holder of the post, Comr. Gen Yusuf Manggabarani, has entered retirement, and will now be working as a non-job police general.

"Comr. Gen. Drs. Nanan Sukarna, the National Police Internal Affairs chief, is promoted to deputy National Police chief," spokesperson Brig. Gen. I Ketut Untung Yoga Ana said in a text message, as quoted by tribunnews.com.

The official handover ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday.
