One dies after being hit by TransJakarta bus

A 51-year-old woman in Grogol died on Saturday after being hit by a TransJakarta Bus.
The woman died instantly after the bus hit her when she was trying to cross the street from Royal Taruma Hospital to a Catholic school nearby, head of the City Police Traffic Accident Unit Comr. Herman Ruswandi said.
Two weeks ago, a TransJakarta bus also killed a man in the same spot, Herman said.
The driver of the TransJakarta bus, Suteja, has been arrested and is now in police custody.
Earlier this month, residents of Mampang blocked a busway after a fourth-grader was killed in an accident involving a TransJakarta bus.
In 2010, there were 430 accidents involving TransJakarta buses. In 2009, the city police recorded 303. — JP
