On Friday, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono made a last-minute
cancellation of a plan to visit Ancol Amusement park in NorthJakarta,
where he was expected to ceremoniously plant a tree, instead returning
to his residence in Cikeas.
"Now [Yudhoyono] is just going from the [Presidential] Palace to
Cikeas," Presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said Friday, as
quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Julian declined to comment on whether the change of plans was related to
rumors of a possible Cabinet reshuffle, adding that the agenda in
Cikeas was confidential.
Yudhoyono had been slated to attend the We Do Green event organized by the amusement park in cooperation with the Java Jazz music festival committee.
Standard security had already have been prepared for the President in
Ancol, and several other public officials, including Culture and Tourism
Minister Jero Wacik, Environmental Minister Gusti Muhammad Hatta and
Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo were already present.
