Aburizal Bakrie to speak tonight

Golkar Chairman Aburizal Bakrie is slated to give a speech during a Golkar party event in Jakarta on Sunday night .

"Golkar Chairman Aburizal Bakrie, on Sunday [March] 6, will give a speech at 7:00 p.m.," Deputy Secretary General Lalu Mara Wangsa said in a text message as quoted by Tribunnews.com.

The event will inaugurate an education and training center for party members and is expected to be attended by all Golkar members in the country.

Aburizal might reveal the party's stance on the ruling coalition, of which it is a member despite several recent incidents of open dissent with other coalition parties including President Susilo Bambang
Yudhoyono's Democratic Party.

The latest rift between Golkar and the other coalition parties, besides the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), involved a proposal to form an inquiry team to investigate possible corrupt practices in the tax office.
