Motorcycle thief beaten to death in Bekasi

A man was beaten to death after attempting to steal a motorcycle in Bekasi on Sunday.

Tribunnews.com reported that the Jakarta Police said that Andul Aziz tried to steal a motorcycle belonging to Megawati Pardede.

Megawati had parked the vehicle in an unguarded area. Pranoto, a resident of the area, noticed Andul Aziz trying to take the vehicle and yelled "thief", prompting people nearby to beat the latter. Andul was later taken to the Mustika Jaya police post and then to Kramat Jati Hospital.

He reportedly died on the way to the hospital. The Bantar Gebang Police are currently investigating the case.
