Bali Police arrested a French citizen, identified only by the initials CL, for the alleged possession of 2.01 grams of hashish, a police officer said Tuesday.
CL is the boyfriend of Tine Rasmussen, a Danish woman who was arrested by Bali Police at Ngurah Rai International Aiport on Monday for the attempted trafficking of 218 grams of hashish, which she had ingested in capsules.
“We also arrested the Frenchman, who was about to pick up the Danish woman from the airport parking lot,” Bali Police narcotics division chief Sr. Comr. Mulyadi said.
Suspecting CL, 38, as an accomplice, police searched CL's rented house on Jl. Batu Mejan in Canggu, North Kuta and found 2.01 grams of hashish under his bed.
Police have detained CL for further questioning.
“This drug syndicate has long been a target of our operations. The syndicate is on the Interpol wanted list,” he said.
