President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono invited businesspeople and officials to his office to discuss options of aid to be channeled to Japan.

Those planning to attend the meeting are the chair of the National Economic Committee, Chairul Tanjung, businesspeople Rachmat Gobel, Ginandjar Kartasasmita and Soni Hartono, Industry Minister M.S. Hidayat, Coordinating Political, Law and Security Minister Djoko Suyanto and Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa.

“I see that there are humanitarian problems we must share our experience with the Japanese government. Therefore I invite you all to partake in a discussion. I want to hear further about the solidarity we can realize,” Yudhoyono said Tuesday as quoted by Kompas.com.

He said that Indonesia had experience in managing the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami and that Japan often assisted the country in disaster management.
