The International Furniture and Craft Fair Indonesia (IFFIN) held from March 11 to March 14 has played host to US$500 million in transactions, up from $354 million in 2010, the organizer said Wednesday.
The Indonesian Furniture Association (Asmindo) said the furniture fair had attracted 480 participants, an increase from 360 participants last year.
Asmindo said it would hold a similar event in September with a different concept.
“We will categorize the furniture based on functionality such as for hospitals, restaurants, hotels and homes,” Asmindo chairman Ambar Tjahyono said as quoted by kontan.co.id.
