Jakarta Police on Monday announced that a police officer had helped Putri Aryanti Haryowibowo, the great granddaughter of former president Soeharto, to book a hotel room in which she was later arrested on drugs charges.
The room was apparently booked under the name of National Police finance department officer ES.
Putri and ES were arrested at the Hotel Maharani in South Jakarta on Sunday. A suspected drug dealer, GN, was also arrested.
It was reported that Putri was in possession of crystal methamphetamine, (shabu-shabu).
“The one who booked the room was [ES], who is currently serving at the National Police headquarters,” Jakarta Police drugs directorate director Sr.Comr. Anjan Pramuka said Monday.
He added that the three suspects, Putri, ES and GN had not resisted arrest.
“ES gave a lot of information to help us find the other suspects,” he said, as reported by tribunnews.com.
