The wife of convicted former chief detective Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji shared Susno’s view, calling the verdict of the court "unfair".

"In my opinion, the verdict I heard tonight was lacking in fairness," Herawati Duadji, the wife of Susno, said after her husband’s trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday.

"Even the case mafia did not receive a verdict like that," she added.

Sjahril Djohan, who was suspected of brokering a case with Susno, was convicted to less than two years in prison.

However, Herawati added that she would continue supporting Susno "under all conditions".

She added that she supported Susno's decision to file an appeal.

"[Our] motto is moving onwards without hesitation to defend what's right," she said.
