Jembrana to meet Balinese workers in Japan

DENPASAR: Officials at the Jembrana Manpower and Transmigration office will soon leave for Japan to check up on a number of Balinese migrant workers currently employed in Japan.

Dede Heryady, head of the office, confirmed that 175 students were working as interns in several companies and the farming industry in Japan. “We want to make sure that the students and workers are in
good shape.”

The Indonesian Consulate General Office in Osaka reported that the 175 workers were safe. —JP
