House to summon Citibank over client death

The House of Representatives said
Sunday it would summon the Citibank board of directors to explain the
death of its client after checking his debts in the bank.
The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
Bank Indonesia Governor Darmin Nasution
and the National Police are also summoned along with the Citibank
board of directors.
“This is a serious case which needs a
serious solution from authorities particularly Bank Indonesia,”
legislator Harry Azhar Aziz said over the weekend as quoted by
tribunnews.com
A party secretary-general, Irzen Octa,
died last week allegedly after he was tortured by Citibank debt
collectors.
