Religions for Peace calls for silent prayer for Japan

The Religions for Peace Global Interfaith Youth Network is organizing "Pause for Japan" - an observance of silent prayer and remembrance at 2:46 p.m. every Friday throughout the month of April.

“Allow me to invite you to join in solidarity. Our Japanese colleagues have given from their hearts to Religions for Peace for more than 40 years. Now is our chance to support them,” Religions for Peace secretary-general William F. Vendley said in a release received by The Jakarta Post on Friday.

Religions for Peace is the world’s largest and most representative multi-religious coalition, which works to advance common action among the world’s religious communities for peace.
