Teenager threatens to commit suicide over motorcycle

An 18-year-old, Randi Hidayat, allegedly attempted to commit suicide on Monday night after his parents refused to buy him a motorcycle, Jakarta Police public relation says.
Randi climbed a 30-meter-high tower in Koja, North Jakarta, and created a panic in the area. It was the second time Randi had attempted suicide after another attempt five months ago.
After climbing the tower, Randi threatened to jump if his parents did not buy him a motorcycle.
However, after a while Randi sent a text message to a friend asking for help.
"By God, I cannot speak anymore, my body feels so weak. Please take me down," Randi said in his text message.
Randi was rescued from the tower shortly after midnight.
