Spanish football club Real Madrid promised to come to Indonesia after Ambassador of Indonesia to Spain Adiyatwidi Adiwoso met President of Real Madrid Florentino Perez.
“They assured that Real Madrid will come to Indonesia on May 2012,” national promoter of Indonesian Education League (LPI) Herman Ago said on Tuesday, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Herman said that Real Madrid has two options: Indonesia or Japan. “They will make decision on September, after undertaking several researches, including field condition, ticket management and event organizer,” he added.
According to him, Indonesia should prepare well so that they could win over Japan. Herman continued that his team also approaches Barcelona, for the time being. He explained that his plan to bring in another Spanish club to Indonesia has nothing to do with an idea to make Barcelona as an alternative club, if Real Madrid could not come.
“We hope that both of them could come,” he said.
As Indonesia plans to invite Barcelona coming to Indonesia, Adiyatwidi is going to meet the President of Barcelona Sandro Rosell.
