National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas) deputy governor
Vice Air Force Marshall Rio Mendung Thalib has been dismissed from his position
and made into a high officer in the military (TNI), Indonesian Military (TNI) Chief
Adm. Agus Suhartono says.
Rio Mendung is a president commissioner of PT Sarwahita
Global Management, which was established by embezzlement suspect and former
Citibank manager Inong Malinda.
“There’s no replacement [for the Lemhanas position] yet because
[the selection process] for a substitute is still in progress,” Agus said
Thursday, as quoted by kompas.com.
Agus added that he had already issued a statement letter to
make Rio a high officer.
Malinda’s case made headlines recently, after she allegedly stole
and embezzled at least Rp 20 billion.
