Chris John’s coach eyes Gamboa clash

Chris John’s coach Craig Christian laid down the gauntlet to Yorioski Gamboa to come to Indonesia and challenge his boxer for the super featherweight title following the victory over Daud Yordan.
“They should come here and take it from us. We’re the super champions," he said.
Chris John is the current WBA super world featherweight champion, whereas American Gamboa is the current WBA world champion.
Although Chris is now into his 30’s, Craig sees no reason why the age factor should put Chris off the fight.
“We’ll fight him [Gamboa]. Chris has got a few years left in him,” Craig said. (awd)
